The English as a Second Language Program is used not only by the children in the Life Connection Mission school, it is also made available to all members of the community. It focuses on giving them the English skills they need to face the future challenges of globalization. Our program uses the “Step Forward” series which focuses on the four core skills of language; listening, speaking, writing and reading. The course integrates language instruction with real-life situations. Our program encompasses several levels of fluency from the beginner to the advanced so that all may be included.
Since, our higher education partners are US based, their course work is all in English. This program serves as the foundation for Life Connection Mission School graduates who wish to enter into the Haitian Connection Network program. By the end of the ESL course, students should be prepared to achieve academic success through higher education online.
